•	Youth Violence Prevention Resources: Responding to the death of Lawrence King, an 8th-grader who was killed at his school as a victim of a hate crime, the DC Medical Assistance Administration is providing this extensive resource list, including information on bullying, firearms, gangs, media violence, school violence, and information for victims of violent crimes.
•	Every Kid Counts in the District of Columbia: 14th Annual Fact Book 2007 released by the Urban Institute. This report tracks over 50 data indicators and is organized to reflect the 6 citywide goals for children and youth in the District: children are ready for school; children and youth succeed in school; children and youth are healthy and practice healthy behaviors; children and youth engage in meaningful activities; children and youth live in healthy stable, and supportive families; and all youth make a successful transition to adulthood.
•	Recommendations for Preventive Pediatric Health Care (Periodicity Schedule) updated by the American Academy of Pediatrics (Winter 2007/Spring 2008). •	Developmental Delay Resource Directory Referrals: Georgetown University Resources
•	The impact on young people and families of the tragic events at Virginia Tech University presents many challenges to educators, health professionals, and others. Georgetown University's guide, Reaching Out to Children and Youth Following Disasters: Selected Resources, provides resources on coping with injury; loss of loved ones; and other trauma.
•	Read the AAP policy statement, Identifying Infants and Young Children With Developmental Disorders in the Medical Home: An Algorithm for Developmental Surveillance and Screening, developed by the Council on Children With Disabilities, Section on Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, Bright Futures Steering Committee and Medical Home Initiatives for Children With Special Needs Project Advisory Committee.
•	Read expanded Guidelines on Dental Health (Education for Providers), including the DC HealthCheck dental periodicity schedule (PDF), information on the dental inspection/evaluation, referrals, anticipatory guidance and patient education topics, documenting the dental evaluation and oral assessment, and additional resources.

Development of this site was conducted by Bright Futures at Georgetown University in partnership with the DC Department of Health's Medical Assistance Administration and DC's managed care organizations. The project reflects an ongoing commitment to promote the health of children and families in DC's diverse communities. It is hoped that this site will serve as a model program for other states in addressing their EPSDT needs.
