The Well-Child Care curriculum was developed by Bright Futures at Georgetown University, with the support of the Health Resources and Services Administration's Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB). As one of the distance learning projects funded by the Bureau's MCH Training Program, the curriculum reflects the leadership and commitment of Laura Kavanagh, M.P.P., chief of the MCH Training Branch, and Audrey M. Koertvelyessy, M.S.N., F.N., F.N.P., project officer.
Building on the extraordinary
efforts of previous initiatives, partners, and publications, the
Bright Futures Well-Child Care curriculum translates the pediatric
preventive recommendations found on the printed pages of the Bright
Futures guidelines (including the latest information from the Bright
Futures Guidelines Third Edition, published by the American Academy
of Pediatrics) into an interactive distance learning curriculum.
